How does eszopiclone work in the human body?

Eszopiclone acts as a muscle relaxant due to the hypnotic properties. When the tablet is absorbed into the bloodstream, the activity of GABA (gamma aminobutyric acid) is increased. GABA is an amino acid in the brain, which acts as a neurotransmitter. It is stimulated when sleeping pills like eszopiclone are consumed. Eszopiclone stimulates production of GABA, which reduces the neuron activity associated with insomnia. This ultimately slows the brain and helps calm the patient, contributing to quality sleep.

What is the activation time for this medication?

The peak blood level concentration of eszopiclone develops between 45 and 60 minutes after ingestion.

Can this medication affect my fertility?

This pill does not affect fertility, so you can safely use it without concerns over having children.

Can I take this medication while under the influence of alcohol?
